Basic First Aid provides learners with the essential knowledge and practical skills needed to respond confidently to common medical and injury-related emergencies. The course focuses on simple, effective actions that anyone can perform to protect life, prevent the situation from getting worse, and promote recovery until professional help arrives.
Through a combination of instruction, demonstrations, and hands-on practice, participants learn how to assess an emergency, provide immediate care, and support a person in distress with calm, safe, and timely actions. This training builds the foundation for all higher levels of first aid and prepares individuals to act responsibly in real-life situations at home, work, or in the community. The program includes CPR Level C and AED training.
This course meets or exceeds federal and most provincial/territorial workplace first-aid requirements and reflects the latest Canadian Consensus Guidelines on First Aid and CPR.
